Embodying the modular initiative seen in many of Poul Cadovius’ designs, the 900 Lamp was initially designed with a system of nine standard lamps and a choice of suspension rails. Now presenting a refined sculptural design, the 900 Lamp retains the 70s charm with a sophisticated brass finish.
Effortlessly illuminating the space, the 12 individual light sources sit along a single suspension rail and provide a distinguished decor piece, whether turned on or off. Initially intended for professional spaces, the refreshed design of the 900 Pendant Light lends itself well to modern residential interiors.
Poul Cadovius was born in Frederiksberg in 1911 and was originally trained as a saddler and upholsterer. He was a colourful and successful designer with a marked influence on the Danish furniture industry and furniture design - both in his own time and later. In 1948, Poul Cadovius designed the shelving system ROYAL SYSTEM®, which through the 50s, 60s and 70s perhaps was the largest furniture success Danish furniture industry has ever had. Poul Cadovius died in 2011 at the age of 99, during his life he managed to register over 400 individual patents, and we are proud to ensure that his legacy lives on.
