Designed for longevity, TR Bulb uses LED technology, which, with normal use, last for many years to come. The globe is constructed from white opal glass, and the core structure is made from aluminium to draw heat away from the LED, allowing the bulb to run at its optimum temperature.
Industrial Designer Tim Rundle graduated from the School of Architecture and Design at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He then began working for Auckland based Formworks Design where he worked on Air New Zealand’s groundbreaking seating systems ‘skycouch’ and ‘spaceseat’.
In 2008 he relocated to London and went on to work for renowned British designer Tom Dixon, where he was head designer of furniture and lighting before becoming Design Director at Conran and Partners.
In 2015 he set up Tim Rundle Studio - an industrial design consultancy specialising in furniture and lighting design as well as interiors, installations and strategic consultancy.
