Taking influence from ‘Ikebana’; the Japanese art of flower arrangement, Ikeru is a simple design of artistic expression. Metal flutes hold individual stems, showcasing each petal from a different perspective and the glass tray stylishly holds water, perfect for keeping your flowers fresh.
A transparent vessel honouring every delicate stem placed within, organise a striking arrangement to share with family and friends. Display Ikeru in a space where objects can be admired and enjoyed, in an alcove or a raised and recessed area, creating your own ‘tokonoma’ within the home. Also available is the high Fritz Hansen Ikeru Vase.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
