First designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen, the Series 7™ Chair became one of the defining silhouettes of modern Danish design. This centenary edition draws from the results of Verner Pantons 1970 invitation to reinterpret the chair - a warmer, more emotive reading of the original form - where structure remains unchanged, but feeling is transformed through tone.
This centenary edition revisits that dialogue, reintroducing four carefully selected archival colours from Panton’s original palette as a tribute to a period defined by fearless creativity and enduring design innovation.
A study in precision and lightness, the chair is formed from nine layers of pressure-moulded veneer, paired with a slender chrome base that delivers both strength and visual clarity. The design moves effortlessly between settings - from dining spaces to standalone placement - defined by quiet confidence and lasting versatility.
This special edition captures the meeting point between Jacobsen’s architectural restraint and Panton’s radical use of colour - a shared legacy of Danish design expressed through a single, enduring form.
Produced to order in four archival finishes.
