Inspired by a seated sand imprint of Poul Kjaerholm's wife's lower body, the PK9™ was engineered for ultimate seating comfort through a series of experimentation process', using boxes of mouldable clay, in which Hanne Kjaerholm sat. Featuring a satin-brushed stainless steel column to support the luxurious leather seating component, the PK9™ is ergonomically designed whilst displaying expert Danish craftsmanship. Whether utilised as an occasional side chair or alongside the Fritz Hansen PK55™ as a dining or office chair, the PK9™ supplements a touch of geometric minimalism to your home.

Poul Kjaerholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
