Intertwining traditional Southern design with the clean and refined aspects of Scandinavian aesthetics, the Lune Three Seater Sofa is Hayon's take on a modern modular sofa. Referencing the Danish-specific term, 'lune', the sofa conveys a feeling of warmth and comfort. Luxurious cushions and curvaceous arms effortlessly envelop, while the refined brushed aluminium base adds an elegant contemporary element. Built by combining several modules with the visual appearance of a singular sofa, the Lune is also available as a two-seater or three-seater with chaise longue modular sofa combination.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
