The work of Atelier Areti is often highly sculptural in nature, combining simple geometric elements with elemental forms to create striking pieces with an immediately recognisable aesthetic. The Octopus lamp takes its name from the playful arrangement of legs that create the lamp’s base. The upward curve of each ’foot’ completes the effect, bringing to mind the leisurely curl of the titular animal’s tentacles, with the spherical diffuser forming its body.
Reducing such a complex shape to a bold graphical statement speaks to the immense talent of Atelier Areti’s designers.
