Story
Elegant, but with a sense of the substantial, the Odin Chair is everything you would expect of Resident, whose furniture is built to last a lifetime and to remain as aesthetically appealing for just as long. Beautifully worked Ash wood forms the focal centre-point of the chair, which finds itself perched atop a frame which is comprised of significant cast aluminium legs. The resulting piece is one which is carried with grace and poise, and one which evokes a real sense of character and place.

New Zealand-born Jamie McLellan spent early part of his design career working in Italy, Hong Kong and Hawaii, before ending up in London working with internationally acclaimed designer Tom Dixon.
Jamie then returned home to set up his own product and furniture design consultancy based in Auckland, New Zealand. His clients included established global brands such as Cathay Pacific, Neil Pryde and Tom Dixon, along with innovative start-ups like Bodha, Resident, and Allbirds, which he ultimately joined as the brand’s first Head of Design.
