Inspired by the playful spirit of one of Mendini’s most iconic works, Poltrona di Proust (1978), a vibrant reinterpretation of an ornate Baroque chair with a hand-painted pointillist pattern, the Delta Proust Side Table features the dynamic energy of the Proust motif designed in collaboration with Elisa and Fulvia Mendini from the Alessandro Mendini Archive.
A vivid palette of seven colours embellishes the side table’s surface, while its asymmetric form plays with perspective, offering a different look from every viewpoint. Made using 100% recycled pigmented polyethylene (PELD) from post-industrial waste, the Delta Proust blends circular design and durability with artistic flair - each piece is a one-of-a-kind expression, ideal for adding a joyful accent to any creative interior or outdoor space.
Italian designer and architect Alessandro Mendini was born in Milan in 1931. Mendini's main focus was designing Italian furniture and interiors in the neo-modern and contemporary style. Previously, he has managed design magazines such as Casabella, Modo and Domus and written numerous essays about his work and his own “Atelier Mendini”. He has designed pieces for Alessi, Philips, Cappellini and Magis which are now considered worldwide design icons of modern design.
