Conceived in 1956 as a companion to the PK22™ Lounge Chair, the PK61™ Coffee Table reflects a philosophy of reduction - where structure, material and proportion exist in quiet harmony. Revisited for its 70th anniversary, it now returns with a refined rolled granite surface, honouring the designer’s original use of natural stone and his fascination with honest materials.
The table’s stone top rests on a precise satin-brushed steel frame, each component clearly expressed and purposefully resolved. Low and architectural, the PK61™ Coffee Table anchors your living space with calm authority - a considered centrepiece that rewards attention over time and brings a sense of balance, permanence and quiet sophistication to your home.
Poul Kjaerholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
