A sculptural piece, inspired by its cousin the PK54™, the PK58™ Dining Table boasts a combination of industrial materials but with a somewhat taller frame. Two simple shapes unite to create the PK58™, a circular tabletop of moulded polyester composite meets a square satin-brushed aluminium base. An inevitable focal point in any space, the strikingly minimalist PK58™ is at its most stylish when paired with the Fritz Hansen PK8 Dining Chair.
Poul Kjaerholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
