Marking Anastassiades’s first collaboration with Fritz Hansen, the After Dining Table reflects a clear, geometric design language; its substantial form and refined execution highlight the precision and craftsmanship of the Danish brand with over 150 years of heritage. Sculptural yet restrained, its coloured ash base and richly veined honed marble top celebrate material honesty with a quietly architectural presence - a contemporary interpretation of enduring Danish craftsmanship.
Generous in scale yet visually light, the statement piece makes an eye-catching impression in any living room, kitchen or dining space. The smooth matte tabletop softens the bold red-white marbling, while the rounded silhouette encourages relaxed conversation and shared moments. Comfortably seating four, pair the After Dining Table with a set of After Chairs for a harmonious setting that feels timeless, tactile and shaped with intention.
Positioned between fine art and design, Michael Anastassiades creates objects that are minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane, yet full of vitality one might not expect.
He launched his studio in 1994 to explore contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. The studio’s philosophy is a continuous search for eclecticism, individuality, and timeless qualities in design.
Michael Anastassiades trained as a civil engineer at London’s Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine before taking a masters degree in industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He lives and works in London.
