Contemporary and stylish, the Flos Captain Flint Floor Lamp’s innovative design has been developed from luxurious materials. Featuring a thin tubular structure made from Steel or Brushed Brass, resting upon a precious marble base, its minimalist aesthetic adapts perfectly with the modern home.
An "invisible" system that keeps the diffuser balanced upon the base provides full rotation, enabling the user to direct the light to their preferred position. Perfectly utilised next to a lounge chair for reading or next to a desk within a study environment, the elegant Flos Captain Flint Floor Lamp is sure to captivate whilst diffusing ambient light within a range of situations.
Positioned between fine art and design, Michael Anastassiades creates objects that are minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane, yet full of vitality one might not expect.
He launched his studio in 1994 to explore contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. The studio’s philosophy is a continuous search for eclecticism, individuality, and timeless qualities in design.
Michael Anastassiades trained as a civil engineer at London’s Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine before taking a masters degree in industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He lives and works in London.
