A tribute shaped by heritage, the Atli Lounge Chair reflects Atlason’s Danish ties and personal story, introduced through his collaboration with Wendelbo and Atlason Studio, unveiled at 3daysofdesign 2025. Named in honour of his father, it expresses a confident dialogue between Icelandic perspective and contemporary Danish design.
An oversized tubular steel frame in a dark grey lacquered finish embraces generous, precision-tailored upholstery. Bold yet inviting, the Atil Lounge Chair brings architectural presence to living spaces or high-traffic interiors. As you sink in, its superior softness delivers enveloping comfort with enduring sophistication.
Having studied in Copenhagen and Paris, Icelandic furniture designer Hlynur Vagn Atlason went on to pursue a degree in Industrial Design at the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
After setting up his own design studio, ATLASON, in Manhattan in 2004, he has gone on to work with organisations and brands such as The Museum of Modern Art, Umbra, Mircosoft and L’Oreal. For L.Ercolani he has designed the beautiful Von furniture series.
