From the hand of acclaimed British designer John Astbury, the Coda Modular Curved Sofa brings sculptural softness to contemporary interiors. Its flowing, open-ended silhouette creates an inviting sense of movement, while generous curves and refined proportions encourage effortless relaxation, conversation and luxurious everyday living.
Expertly crafted with an FSC-certified timber frame, zig-zag springs and resilient foam cushioning, the sofa is made to order in your preferred upholstery, including comforting fabrics from the Drake collection by Zinc Textile. As part of a system of 12 interchangeable modules and two ottomans, the Coda Modular Sofa allows you to create tailored arrangements for everything from intimate lounges to expansive social spaces, adapting beautifully as your lifestyle evolves.
Other configurations are also available from Nest, including the Coda Modular 3 Seater Sofa and the Coda Corner Sofa.
After completing his studies in anthropology and sociology in his native England, John Astbury then moved to Sweden to study product design at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack).
With his own design studio in Stockholm, Astbury is known for re-examining the fundamental elements of an archetype to explore what can be done differently; creating new poetic purpose and direction to drive design in an alternative direction.
