Icelandic designer Gudmundur Ludvik began his career as a carpenter before going on to study at the Icelandic Academy of Arts and the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen.
In 2010, he set up Welling/Ludvik with former fellow student Hee Welling. After establishing his own design practice, Studio Gudmundur Ludvik, he began exploring his passion for wood and traditional artisanship. His most recent work is produced by Danish design icon Carl Hansen & Son.
