Part of the beautiful Backstitch collection, the Composition rug embodies a complex, diverse pattern of different colours, stitches and layers. Adding a new, contemporary value to traditional craftsmanship, the rug takes inspiration from the ambiguous and irregular patterns that form on the back of rugs during the embroidery process. An expressive explosion of linear elements, the eye-catching, textured piece is both a stunning design statement and comforting addition to an interior space. Made from 100% pure wool, produced on manual looms and delicately hand-embroidered by the artisans of the GAN Women’s Unit in India, the design can be used as both a rug or as a tapestry on the wall.
