Originally designed in 1997, a sketch among the many in Fritz Hansen's design department, the effortless form of a 'z' scrawled across a piece of paper influenced the chairs unusually striking backwards armrests. The frame, moulded from a single piece of powder-coated steel, acts as a support for the contemporary body of the chair, whilst arm pads add an element of comfort and luxury.
