Beneath its sculptural fibre shell, twelve LED light sources cast a soft, immersive glow that gently fills the room. Three magnetic Dots secure the hand-crumpled diffuser to its metal framework, allowing it to be endlessly reshaped - encouraging an intuitive, hands-on interaction with light. Born in 1976, Erwan Bouroullec is a Paris-based designer widely lauded for his work with his elder brother, Ronan. The pair have worked together for the better part of fifteen years and are renowned around the world as interior designers and architects. Erwan’s work ranges from small objects to large installations, characterised by a playful minimalist quality that is instantly recognisable.
From their beginnings with Capellini, the Bouroullec brothers have gone on to work with a huge number of international brands from Artek, Established & Sons, Close, HAY, Kvadrat, Magis, nanimarquina, Samsung and Vitra.
