Every installation of Maap W1 Wall Light begins as a simple act of making. Conceived by innovative French designer Bouroullec as an exploration of geometry, light and organic form, its featherlight diffuser is intentionally shaped by hand, transforming a precise framework into something instinctive and entirely individual. Crumpled and moulded into place, the paper-like fibre material captures the beauty of unpredictability, creating a luminous landscape that feels alive with character.
An ultra-light Tyvek shell is magnetically secured to a metal wall-mounted frame, where four light sources cast a soft, captivating glow across a broad surface. No two forms are ever quite alike, making each piece a personal expression of the room it inhabits. Ideal on a feature wall or in a dramatic entrance hall, the Maap W1 invites you to shape the light to your own surroundings - and experience design as something to be created, not simply admired.
Pair with the Flos Maap W2 or Maap W3 for a more expansive lighting landscape.
