The Tray Table became an established part of modernist Danish design, serving as the perfect spot for a drink, a good book, or a bowl of fruit and some fresh flowers. The design has a witty sense of humour, blending utility with personality in smart design. The two reversible trays can be flipped over to customise the colour options and contrast to suit your space, and the table’s wooden frame can also be folded flat and reopened without the use of tools as it is joined by wooden spikes.

Born in 1931 in a small town of Braband in Denmark, Hans Bolling attended an Art- and Handcraft School originally to become an advertising designer, however some years later he followed his passion for architecture and graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Art Academy. He designed a plethora of art works, ranging from dolls and furniture to villas, living complexes and town halls.
