The Normann Copenhagen Circa Stool uses a distinctive circular motif to create a simple yet eye-catching aesthetic, from the rounded curve of the seat to the reassuringly solid footrest. A central hole has been cut into the seat allowing the stool to be repositioned with ease. The repetition of these circles adds a harmonious balance to the piece. The design is incredibly versatile, appropriate for a wide variety of settings, with the simple combination of oak veneer and powder-coated steel blending effortlessly into any backdrop. Also available with an upholstered seat.

“Honesty is what makes a product understandable, and is what describes functionality of the products. If you understand the product, it doesn’t need any explanation. The essence of my design is for it to be bought and used. Therefore it has to satisfy not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological- and aesthetic needs. For me simplicity describes the true identity of objects, and makes them trustworthy. In my designs I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression.”
