The Miyake Lamp can be placed in several positions simply by placing the base on one of its 24 facets. The lamp’s solid base and its dainty stem create a charming contrast of weights and shapes.

He graduated from the industrial design department at the Kobe Design University(KDU)/Japan, he moved to Finland to continue his studies, Completing a Master’s degree in furniture and spatial design at Aalto University, Helsinki.
He originally started his career as an interior designer developing the restaurant concepts for a Japanese company. After studying in Finland, he had worked at a few design studios in Helsinki and Milan. And in 2004, he established his own design studio “Studio Arihiro Miyake” in Helsinki, Finland.
