The Gambosa Table Lamp reimagines familiar form through the language of geometry and colour. Crafted in steel and available in two sizes, its poised shade appears delicately suspended - an expression of balance that softens the rigidity traditionally associated with tabletop lighting design.
The elegantly curved shade seems to float above a refined base, casting either focused or diffused light depending on your chosen finish - the pink or black opaque versions provide a direct light while the opal shade offers softer illumination. A considered palette, from muted tones to striking contrasts, allows you to shape its personality to suit your interior. Placed on a desk, console or bedside, the Gambosa Table Lamp brings artistic presence and contemporary character to your everyday moments.
London-based German designer Mathias Hahn has worked on diverse projects for clients such as Marset, Ligne Roset, Kvadrat, Kohler, Magazin and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin.
Mathias has a natural desire for designing towards use and functionality. He pictures his work as having two sides. One is based on the idea to create objects that have a place in everyday life and solve a particular problem, the other one is more playful and related to the narrative side of the design process which often functions as a starting point.
