With distinctive high back and side panels, the sofa creates an enclosed retreated space, embracing the importance of privacy and secluded relaxation. Hayon wanted to design a piece that could be purposefully incorporated into modern workspaces, creating a comfortable area for group collaboration, individual concentration and restful leisure. Available in four calming colours, the Plenum Three Seater Sofa is a bold, multipurpose piece that provides a unique, sheltered seating experience.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
