Born from Borge Mogensen’s exploration of medieval Spanish furniture, The Hunting Chair reflects his mastery of structure, material and enduring design. Polished chrome buckles allow the seat to be adjusted for optimal comfort, while premium materials - saddle leather and FSC-certified ash wood - are chosen exclusively to highlight the pinnacle of Danish craftsmanship.
Once produced only in ash in the late 1970s in collaboration with Mogensen and then-owner Andreas Graversen, this rare version of the Hunting Chair has remained in the Graversen family collection until now, with the release of the 75th Anniversary Limited Edition. A statement in living spaces, studies or elegantly curated bedrooms, this armchair offers heritage, comfort and iconic style - and with an exclusive run of only 75 pieces, it’s a collectable design treasure.
Borge Mogensen (1914–1972) started his career as a cabinetmaker in 1934.
In 1936 he went on to study at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts under Professor Kaare Klint before entering the Royal Academy of Fine Arts from where he graduated as an architect in 1942. He became head of design at FDB (the Danish co-op) in 1942 before establishing his own design office in 1950.
