The prototype for the Soborg chair was originally created in 1950 by Morgensen. His intention was to fuse a plywood shell with his signature solid wood functionalism. The shaped seat and back in moulded plywood combined with a solid wood frame, reflected how Mogensen fused his international contact with traditional cabinet-makers’ solutions and his own functionalist design identity. Creating a truly comforting, and durable dining chair, the solid design is a timeless and practical addition to an interior space. Part of the Fredericia Soborg collection.
