Story
Made to last, the J64 represents simple, functional and expertly crafted Danish design. Available in two monochrome lacquers, the signature spoke-back and gentle, sloping armrests give the chair its sturdy and supportive frame, ideal for use around a dining table or as an occasional side chair. The use of natural materials and bold lacquer allows the chair to perfectly coordinate with interior styles both classic and contemporary.

Heavily inspired by Børge Mogensen, Ejvind A. Johansson’s ambition was to create functional and modernist furniture.
With a background in fine art, Johansson graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1949, shortly becoming the head designer of Danish furniture factory Fredericia in 1959.
