Defined by complex angles and subtle curves, Scheublin liaises functionality with the beauty of construction in his eye-catching chair design. Crafted from oiled oak, the chair is full of cleverly engineered, reasoned character, and achieves a unique formality through its industrial yet elegant wooden frame. Evoking traditional wooden designs of the past with a graphic, contemporary appeal, the timeless nature of the natural wooden structure offers a longlasting, durable addition to dining or workspace.
Wouter Scheublin was trained as an industrial designer at the Technical University of Delft (BSc 2002) and Design Academy Eindhoven (BA 2004).
In 2005, Wouter Scheublin Ontwerpen was started, as an office for design. Since March 2006, the workshop / studio, together with Lotty Lindeman, is located in Lexmond, near the city of Utrecht.
