Story

The Artek 160 Clothes Tree follows very much in the tradition of fellow Finnish creative Alvar Aalto, with a focus on the bare essentials that make for a high-quality product. Elegant, yet simple, the Clothes Tree is crafted from solid birch and features a set of metal feet. Utilitarian in both function and form, clothes pegs that are longer at the top and shorter at the bottom allows for simple organisation, while a choice of finishes means that there is a 160 suitable for all environments and scenarios.

Anna-Maija Jaatinen

Born in 1941, Anna-Maija Jaatinen is a Finnish designer and interior architect. In 1964, she designed the iconic Artek Clothes Tree 160.
