Drawn from rediscovered archive sketches by the Danish design duo, the HM12 Tripod Wall Light reinterprets a mid-century icon into a new context. Developed in close dialogue with the Hvidt and Mølgaard families, the piece carefully translates the character of the original Tripod series, preserving its enduring appeal while giving it fresh relevance for today.
Anchored by an elegant spherical base with brass details, the wall lamp offers effortless adjustability thanks to its swivel joint developed especially for the Tripod lighting range. Equally suited to bedside settings, reading nooks or workspaces, it delivers focused light with a calm, reassuring presence - practical, refined and quietly uplifting.
Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) were pioneers of Danish mid-century design and the founders of Copenhagen-based firm Hvidt & Molgaard.
Renowned for the simplicity of their works, the duo established a simple and precise aesthetic designing countless pieces of furniture over the years, many of which became icons of the era. Today, their work can be found exhibited at MoMA, Melbourne’s National Gallery, and Copenhagen’s Design Museum.
