Add the sculptural silhouette of the city skyline to your home with the Pianoalto Modular Sofa. The sofa appears to be suspended in thin air, using inward-positioned legs and an integral base. The backrests have been shaped to provide maximum comfort, ergonomically mirroring the contours of the body. The combination of foam, quilted inserts, and fibres make the back and armrest cushions resistant to deformation and exceptionally comfortable.
Designed by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba, the Pianoalto is a modular design that can be configured in a variety of different ways. Configuration 1 incorporates an extended chaise longue, allowing you to put your feet up and relax, stretching out on the richly tactile fabric upholstery.
Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini have worked together since 1994, as architects and designers. As partners, they have designed furniture, developed numerous architectural projects, designed sets for theatre and film, created costumes and prepared cultural exhibitions.
At present, they collaborate as designers for some of the world's most respected design-driven companies including Zanotta and Foscarini. Their Zak sofa is a clever combination of creative intelligent design, minimalism and fresh ideas to form a fun and contemporary new classic.
