Piezas, meaning pieces in Spanish, refers to the seamless construction of the dining table. Influenced by how intuitively Lego pieces slot together, Spanish designer, Cenal looked to emulate the functionality with precise joints and proper proportions. Solidly constructed, the wooden tabletop is nestled into the striking metal frame, elevating the traditional silhouette and enhancing the detailed appearance. Storing a table leaf beneath the tabletop, the Piezas offers the possibility of extending the table, ideal for modern contexts and settings.
Spanish designer Silvia Ceñal strives to capture essence and character through material, texture and colour.
In 2015 Ceñal founded her eponymous product design studio, driven by the desire to share and design reinventions of Basque furniture and craftsmanship. With a keen eye for colour and a passion for detail, Ceñal’s designs regularly provide a sense of simplicity while remaining distinctive and functional.
