An elegant and 'noble' design, the chair's curvaceous structure beautifully transports the craftsmanship and aesthetics of Danish modernism into a contemporary dining room or sociable kitchen space. Defined by highly supportive seat and back shells, finished with subtle wooden design details that can be appreciated from every angle, the timeless dining chair prioritises long-lasting comfort and enduring style. Available in three wood finishes, warming white or teak oiled oak, or sleek black lacquered beech, there is a finish to coordinate with every styled space. The Noble Dining Chair is also available with an upholstered seat.
Arne Hovmand-Olsen had the world in mind, both before and after the 1950s, when he became one of Denmark’s most renowned furniture designers. The son of a farmer and an aesthete by nature, he started as an apprentice cabinetmaker, before studying furniture design and pursuing his passion for visual composition and furniture design.
In 1944, Arne Hovmand-Olsen opened his own design practice, where he united the details of classic craftsmanship with innovative, modern design. He was a pioneer, not only in the field of architecture, but also in the field of exporting designer furniture to accommodate the large interest abroad.
