Forming part of a beautiful family of expertly-worked Italian clay terracotta pots, this largest piece is rich in shape and character. Extremely durable and water-resistant, the inside of the Terracotta Pot is glazed and features a drainage hole.
Modular in nature, the top section of the piece is removable, and can either stand alone alongside the base, or atop it. Bold and imaginative, the Vitra Terracotta Pot feels familiar at first sight but is duly innovative and a valuable new approach to a well-trodden form.
Thelonious Goupil is a French industrial designer based in Paris.
Following his graduation from Ensci-Les Ateliers in Paris in 2016, Goupil trained at Ransmeier Inc. and Jasper Morrison Ltd. He now aims to develop sustainable and intuitive objects in collaboration with quality manufacturers.
