Richly tactile and naturally beautiful, hemp and eelgrass have been incorporated into the striking shell of the Mat Bar Chair.
The result of years of development and prototyping, this cutting-edge mix of natural fibres and a recyclable binder has been designed with circularity in mind, while also remaining aesthetically pleasing and resilient. Designers Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort Lorenzen have given the chair a timeless silhouette, collaborating closely with Normann Copenhagen to produce this one-of-a-kind collection.
As a result of many years within the design industry, Peter Hiort-Lorenzen and Johannes Foersom are two of Denmark’s most recognised and established furniture designers.
Together they are Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen, and with a shared love for innovation, craftsmanship and functionality, they have received numerous national and international design awards.
