The KVK4 Cabinet series is designed by Kari Virtanen, a Finnish-born designer who, in 1967, founded Nikari. The cabinet is a staple of Nikari’s collection, available here in its low open form, but also available in a high open version. The wood is sourced from near Nikari’s headquarters in Fiskars, Finland, and the forests are managed sustainably to minimise environmental impacts. The cabinet is suited equally well as a bedroom storage solution or as a distinctive living room sideboard, its uncomplicated design means it can fit in seamlessly wherever it is placed.
Kari Virtanen (born 1948) is a Finnish carpenter and designer, who with his hard working attitude has gained his place as one of the world's most recognised wooden furniture experts. In 1967 Virtanen founded Nikari, a company producing the highest quality solid wood furniture.
