Echoing the proportions of the May Dining Table, the May Bench takes seating into a more relaxed, communal form. Its clean lines and quiet strength reflect a design language shaped by nature’s calm tones and the ease of outdoor living.
Formed from a light steel sheet that wraps neatly around a robust steel frame with a discreet drainage slit, it offers durability with refined simplicity. Whether placed along a path or paired with a table, the May Bench invites you to gather, pause and share memorable moments outdoors - adapting effortlessly as your space fills with life.
Johannes Breuer and Fritz Graber collaborated to create Hannes & Fritz after meeting at ECAL, the university of art and design in Switzerland.
Hannes and Fritz work from Stuttgart and Zurich respectively, with each designer bringing their unique skills and approach to the collaboration. Johannes’ linear and emblematic approach to design contrasts Fritz’s more dynamic and expressive design language. Whilst, in conjunction, they share a deep respect for quality materials and expert production techniques. Together they have created designs for several international furniture companies.
