Part of the wider Umanoff collection for Audo Copenhagen, the raised planter is defined by a beautiful contrast between handwoven natural rattan and sleek powder-coated steel. The opposing materials work together in perfect harmony to create a timeless, organic design that is perfect for a contemporary home. Ideal for housing your favourite botanical arrangements, the low planter can sit elegantly in a living room, bedroom or outdoor patio space.
Arthur Umanoff (1923–1985) was an American-born industrial designer, known for his contribution to the American mid-century modern movement.
Umanoff believed that design should not only be beautifully constructed and functional but that it should also be attainable. Using natural materials and new methods to reimagine traditional furniture pieces, he created versatile designs for the home that were celebrated for their quality as for their simplified, functional forms and staying power.
