Constructed from hard-wearing polypropylene, the Magis Dish Doctor Dish Rack has been designed to evoke the curved contours of a ship’s hull.
The dishes are placed amidst a forest of stalks, their rounded shape mirroring that of the shell. The bright colours give the rack a decidedly playful aesthetic, making even the most onerous of chores into something more exciting.
Australian industrial product designer Marc Newson is known for his funky, futuristic, but technically rigorous approach to design.
He has design everything from a private jet to a car, for a wide range of clients from Magis, FLOS and Alessi to Nike, Gap and Ford. Newson is inspired by an eclectic collection of contemporary designers: from Joe Colombo because of his “killer shapes” and Achille Castiglioni “so clever and witty”.
