With a simplistic silhouette, the Japanese design influence is unmistakable, retaining only the fundamental elements of the piece. Curated from Ash or Oak, the wood presents a tactile nature with the visible grain and smooth texture, bolstered by the subtle yet precise detailing of the brass or aluminium elements that ties the piece together.

Established in 2015 by designer Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze, the studio collaborates with fellow creatives and brands including Frama and Made by Hand. Applying the studio’s knowledge of niche manufacturers and forgotten techniques while striving to utilise non-expected materials and production methods in their work, Studio 0405 brings new perspectives to furniture design.
