With a desire to create aesthetic and sensory experiences for the home, Anne Boysen created the ethereal Moonsetter Floor Lamp, a sculptural design piece crafted in highly reflective chrome-plated aluminium. Boysen’s intuitive design process makes complexity appear simple, forming unique yet accessible pieces that encourage user interaction. Moonsetter, a perfect example of this, features a 360-degree rotating disc, allowing complete customisation of the light emitted; when tilted towards the white side, the light becomes soft and diffused, whereas the opposite chrome side reflects the light directly for a completely different experience.
Anne Boysen was born in Denmark in 1980, and operates as both an artist and designer from her own studio.
Boysen won the Erik Jørgensen Design Award in 2011 with her daybed design Senecio, with the award turning out to be the beginning of an exciting career. A bold approach to design and focus on craftsmanship are staple traits of her work, with Boysen, in her own words, on a mission "to make complexity simple and accessible in designs that move the user".
