The Demon Shelving system, or the 'Biblio-Démon' as it is referred to in designer Mathieu Mategot's original sketches, was part of a “plan d’execution de la bibliothèque”; a plan to replicate the style and atmosphere found in library or grand study in the home. Designed by Mategot in 1954, this modular shelving system can be applied in various ways; ideal for storing books, kitchenware or an eclectic mix of personal decorative accessories.
