Found in Mogensen's extensive archive of forgotten sketches, the BM0253 shelving system focuses on the concept of 'Byggemøbler', an idea that simple furniture can be flexible enough to respond to the space it inhabits whilst effortlessly transforming in accordance to the user's ever-changing desires. An extensive system of module-based furniture the BM0253 series encourages individual customisation. A highly functionalist piece, exactly as Mogensen had intended, the extensive wood veneered system offers open shelving at varying levels, perfect for dividing open plan spaces or simply housing favoured design objects.
