Defined by a beautiful union of contrasting materials, the lounge table is available with a metal base and stem, topped with a smooth wooden, marble or stone tabletop. Mezcla, meaning 'mixture' in Spanish, reflects Hayon's desire to create a piece that highlight's a table's core purpose; people coming together for different reasons, whether to socialise, agree, disagree or just laugh and enjoy each other’s company. The lounge table is perfect for a contemporary living room, acting as an eye-catching statement piece that allows you to rest drinks, books, magazines and decorative ornaments. Part of the Mezcla collection.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
