Reminiscent of Pantone’s 2015 Colour of the Year Marsala, a diverse range of red and pink hues dominated across the stands during Milan Design Week.
Maroon, plum, berry, wine, rose, terracotta, burgundy… whatever your preference, there were plenty of warm shades and brighter feminine accents to be seen across the fair. Whether you’re looking for furniture and lighting or smaller home accessories, these welcoming shades can easily be incorporated into your home.
Bringing a subtle twist to an iconic classic, the Vitra Eames Lounge Chair has been updated in a new soft plum leather, whilst still maintaining its executive character.
The Zero Pomi Light refers to the Venetian word for ‘apple’ and ‘fruit’ and appears as if it’s spinning in motion. This rich plum shade can be complemented with multiple pendants as pictured or suspended individually, just like the Örsjö Pebble Pendant Light or vibrant Foscarini Supernova Suspension Light.
Drenched in dusky pink, the pillow-soft Moroso (Love Me) Tender Sofa by Patricia Urquiola was complemented with mismatched cushions and white and plum Moroso Net Tables for a contemporary and fresh look.
For something a little subtler, outdoor manufacturer Kettal’s stand combined earthy tones with rusty reds and rose pink. Featured products included the STAMPA Mesh Chairs by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Vieques collection and lightweight Village Chair.
