Description
The Vitra Jill chair is inspired by the beginnings of laminated wood shaping and re-explores the limits of this technology: using a patented process, the laminated sheets are twisted like a ribbon until they meet one another in the seat.
This produces an open, flexible shell in the transition between seat and backrest that supports the body with remarkable comfort.
The frames of the Vitra Jill chair, to an extent, also pay homage to historic precedents, yet lend the chair a contemporary expression – especially also their colours which complement the optionally available fabric coverings.
