Inspired by the found objects that Charles and Ray Eames picked up on their travels, the Vitra Eames House Bird has been a mainstay of the pair’s celebrated body of work for over 70 years.
After appearing in a poster for Eames DKR Chairs, the House Bird shot to success with the black wooden bird fast becoming a widely recognised emblem, not only of the pair’s own extensive work, but a familiar symbol for the wider design industry in general.
