Originally created for a competition to furnish the student residence halls at the Cité Universitaire in Nancy, the Cité armchair is one of Jean Prouvé's early classics. With distinctive runners made of powder-coated sheet steel and broad leather belts for armrests, Prouvé himself used the armchair in the living room of his own home due to its generous dimensions and inviting upholstery. Upholstered in elegant Tress fabric, a renewed sense of life has been breathed into this genuine furniture icon. Also available in leather upholstery.
