The largest of the Ceiling Lamp series, the Ceiling Lamp No2 is a contemporary, functional piece that has a minimal yet defining design. Constructed from nothing more than a bent lacquered steel or brass tube and an archetypical lamp shade, its simplistic aesthetic adds a splash of compelling style to any environment. Just as Muller Van Severens’ other furniture, the Ceiling Lamp creates space rather than filling it up, elegantly protruding from the ceiling to delicately illuminate below.
Combining the talents of both Fien Muller and Hannes van Severen, Muller van Severen was founded in 2011.
A creative husband and wife collaboration, identified by their iconic furniture family for Valerie Objects and colourful collaboration with HAY. The pair describe their minimalist, material-driven designs as “landscapes for living” and new ways to proficiently utilise space.
Currently working from a greenhouse-turned-home studio in Ghent, Belgium, they have designed contemporary furniture, designer lighting and even cutlery.
